Products & Equipment

What is an OK cart and why do thrift stores use them?

An OK cart is a heavy-duty, open-frame steel bulk cart used by thrift stores, donation centres, and textile recyclers to move large volumes of clothing and goods. Rangeview OK carts are fully welded angle and flat bar steel with multi-rail side panels, a reinforced 3/4" plywood deck, and 6" or 8" industrial casters. The 35 OK and 40 OK models carry up to 2,400 lb; the compact 21 OK carries 1,200 lb. They're the workhorse of donation sorting and back-of-house retail operations across North America.

What are sorting tables for donation centres and textile recycling?

Sorting tables — our modular Lean Table System — are welded steel work tables (2' to 6' long) that bolt together into complete sorting, hanging, tagging, pricing, and bagging stations for thrift retail and textile recycling. Add-ons include hanger kits, pegboard panels, backsplashes, bin racks, spacers, and monitor stands, so one platform builds every station on your processing line. Try the interactive configurator on our Lean Tables page.

Do you manufacture clothing donation bins in Canada?

Yes. Rangeview manufactures outdoor rolling-chute clothing donation bins and indoor CDC kiosks in Hamilton, Ontario — 14 and 16 gauge steel, MIG welded, built for Canadian weather and secure collection. Visit donationbin.ca, our donation bin program site, for models and details.

What sizes of distribution carts do you make?

Four welded steel distribution cart configurations: 2-shelf standard (36" × 24" × 38"), 2-shelf long & narrow (45" × 20" × 36"), 3-shelf standard (42" × 24.5" × 56"), and 3-shelf long & narrow (46" × 20.5" × 56"). All are 14-gauge steel, 1,200 lb capacity, with 5" casters and a powder coated red finish.

Are Rangeview products Canadian made?

Yes — our carts, roller racks, lean tables, racking accessories, donation bins, and guarding are designed, welded, and finished at our Hamilton, Ontario facility. Rangeview has supplied donation centres, thrift retail, and production floors across North America since 1988. We also supply sourced store equipment (matting, PPE, janitorial, break-room) so new stores can source everything in one quote.

Do you sell garment roller racks and hanger racks?

Yes — welded steel garment roller racks in Rangeview red, including the Large Roller Rack (standard, with top hanger bar, or with removable bars), small rolling racks for hangers, and hanger storage racks. They're built for constant back-room to sales-floor garment transport in thrift and retail operations.

Can I get replacement casters and parts for my carts?

Yes — we stock replacement casters for OK carts (6" and 8"), rolling racks (3" and 4"), distribution carts, totes, and shopping carts, plus OK cart handles, bumpers, pallet jack risers, and safety clips. Add them to a quote request from any product page.

Quotes & Ordering

How do I get a quote?

Browse the catalogue and use Add to Quote on any product to build a quote list, then submit it in one request — the Operation Planner and lean table configurator can send complete equipment lists the same way. You can also email info@rangeviewfab.com or call (905) 628-3435. All pricing is customized based on quantity, options, and delivery requirements.

Do you ship to the United States?

Yes. Rangeview equipment runs in donation centres, thrift retail chains, and production facilities across Canada and the United States. Freight is quoted per order based on destination and load.

Do you offer equipment packages for new store openings?

Yes — pre-built packages for sorting stations, hang & tag stations, processing line startups, cart fleets, and complete new-store openings (intake bins, queue barriers, matting, safety, and break-room equipment). One quote, one delivery, coordinated lead times. See the Packages section at the top of our Products page.

Is there a minimum order?

We supply everything from a single cart or replacement caster to complete multi-store fit-outs. Contact us with what you need and we'll quote it.

Custom Fabrication

Can you build custom steel equipment for my operation?

Yes — custom fabrication is the core of what we do. MIG, TIG, and stick welding in steel, aluminum, and stainless; cutting, bending, shearing, punching, notching, and rolling; finishing in two in-house paint booths. If your operation needs something our catalogue doesn't cover, we'll design and build it. Start on our Custom Fabrication page.

What finishes are available?

Our standard finishes are red polyester powder coating (distribution carts, roller racks, lean equipment) and industrial grey phenolic coating (OK carts and book carts), applied in-house. Ask about colour options for custom orders.

Planning & Support

How much equipment does my thrift store or processing facility need?

Use our free Operation Planner — enter the square footage of each zone (receiving, sorting, hanging and pricing, back stock, retail floor) and it builds a recommended equipment list with quantities, based on typical thrift retail and textile recycling layouts. Our team then confirms the plan against your actual floor drawings.

What safety and guarding products do you make?

Welded steel guard railing (safety yellow and Rangeview red), battery charger guards for forklifts and walkie stackers, pallet racking safety bars and cage enclosures, door guards, customer and cashier barriers, wall and outlet guards, and fixture bumpers — all fabricated in Hamilton.
